HOW DOES A HYDROPLEX SYSTEM PROLONG THE LIFE OF YOUR COOLING TOWER?

The Hydroplex system utilizes an efficient combination of copper-silver ionization, side stream filtration, scale control, Venturi water jets, a centrifugal pump, and conductivity sensors. These components work together to agitate water, eliminate bacteria, and prevent the formation of scale while removing circulating particulates from the system. Horizon is a manufacturing facility in Cleveland, Ohio. A HydroPlex was installed on the cooling tower the first year, and a Loop treatment system was installed on the process water loop the following year. While the water looked reasonably clean prior to the installation of the treatment systems, after installation the filters needed cleaning every few days due to the previous accumulations of scale and other debris in the customer’s equipment. The water is now clean and bacteria free. The filters now remain in service for several months before requiring any attention. The 9 is a twenty nine story office, apartments and hotel in Cleveland. The owners wanted a chemical free, environmentally friendly, money saving water treatment system which would also eliminate Legionella. The water is clean, clear and the tower basins did not need the normal extensive clean out at the end of the season. A HydroPlex was installed on a new installation of a cooling tower, and a BoilerPlex was installed in the boiler loop in the spring of 2011. Frank maintains the towers which are used both for cooling of the office buildings and the process water loops for the automotive facility.
